At times this looked like a game of ‘Attack v Defence’ as Mickleover pushed the Tigers back deep into their own half.  On the counter attack, the Tigers did look dangerous though and it was a testament to the two keepers’ performances that the score at half time was goal less with Joseph in the Tigers goal in superb form.  An entertaining first half with the Tigers looking solid in defence and dangerous on the break.

But Mickleover were the better team in the second half, with the Tigers looking sluggish and struggling to cope with changes in personnel.  Mickleover bagged all three goals within 9 second half minutes and from the moment they took the lead, the game looked to be up for the Tigers as we struggled to get bodies forward to support Owen in attack.

The first goal is always important in any football match and it might have been a different story had the Tigers taken the lead in the first half.  Instead, coming back from behind is proving a challenge in this division and whilst the boys kept on going and didn’t let their heads drop, they did at times look ragged in the closing stages, despite some good individual performances.

But, as far as team performances go, we will have better days!
