Such is the closeness of this league, you could throw a blanket over the teams.  And despite all the effort and commitment shown by the Tigers, they still remain in the bottom two after yet another narrow loss.

Every mistake seems to be punished at this level and the Tigers failure to clear a free kick on ten minutes cost them the game.  How this remained 1-0 is testament to some resolute defending thereafter by both sides.  To be fair, Barton shaded the first half, two shots flashed past the Newhall post early on, and Shakespeare made several good saves to keep them at bay.  The Tigers best chance came when Fantarrow fired just over from a free kick on the left.

In the second half, the Tigers football got better and better.  It was definitely they who finished the stronger side.  Sharp was unlucky early on when his goal bound shot took a massive deflection, diverting the ball onto the bar.  Fantarrow then nearly got Newhall the point they deserved late on, but he fired wide after some brilliant work down the left by Elks.

Tigers star man… George Taylor… another steadfast performance at the back.
