So the boys were looking to make it 4 wins on the bounce against Barton Rovers.

The boys started pretty well and they didn't give Barton much time on the ball in the early stages but then Barton came into the game a bit more and were matching us  man for man in the midfield battle.

Joseph Rawbon went close after breaking free with the ball although a heavy touch meant his shot lacked the power to beat the keeper who collected comfortably. Shortly after Joseph had to leave the field with a suspected pulled hamstring, so our thoughts are with him and we hope he makes a speedy recovery.

In almost a carbon copy of Joseph's attempt Barton broke free and the striker was able to drill the ball past Ewan who had no chance as the ball rocketed into the bottom corner of the net.

Our heads didn't drop though and we kept going and battling on but we didn't get the run of the ball at times and unfortunately Barton scored another before half time. We created a couple of half chances but never really troubled the keeper.

Second half we started well and immediately put Barton under a lot of pressure. We had some good opportunities to score but some how the Barton keeper was able to stop the ball going in the net.

We just couldn't make the pressure count and  in pushing everyone forward for goals the Barton striker was able to break free and slot the ball past Brandon into the net.

Although we kept on pushing we just couldn't get the ball in today which is unfortunate and although we didn't pass the ball around as well as we had in the recent weeks there was still some encouraging signs. Mainly the fact we kept trying even at 3 nil down was the most encouraging thing we can take from this game.

Hopefully next week will be better, We know what we have to do!
