MAN OF THE MATCH Joseph Hill
After winning the last 2 games quite convincing we were looking to make it 3 on the bounce against Outwoods who we had had some good games against in the past.
We were only missing Matthew today so Max stepped in at right back alongside Joe Hill.
The game started quite well and was pretty even for the first 10 mins we were playing some good football as they were with both midfields cancelling each other out. Joe Rawbon had an effort go wide after some good play between Max Charlie Starkey Aeron created the opening. Aeron also went close a couple of times. It wasn’t until just before half time though when Aeron latched onto Charlie's pass and drilled it into the net from the edge of the box.
We saw out the remainder of the half after being put under a bit of pressure that didn’t really force Brandon in goal into action as there attacks just fizzled out.
Second half was more of the same still creating chances and plenty of battles in midfield being won by each side.
Joe Hill went close from a short corner from Lewis who scored a few minutes later from a long range shot by Aeron which was parried out by the keeper straight to Lewis who obliged by putting it into the net.
Again we came under pressure after scoring which was a credit to Outwoods not giving up. In the end they got there reward when Liam handled the ball just inside the box and they were awarded the penalty which was lashed into the net leaving Ewan with no chance of saving it.
And that was it 3 wins on the bounce! It wasn’t our best performance but it was a result that we had to work for and it was good to see we are still looking to make good passes and retain possession rather than lumping it forward in hope.
Well done again boys
