Yet again we started the match with an early goal by Ben Wells after a great pass from Owen Archer. But yet again we soon let ourselves down with some very poor defending putting a lot of pressure on our own goal keeper in the first half, Ben Clark, who managed to keep out a number of shots on target but Chellaston managed to score three before half time.

half time 1-3

Chellaston added a fourth very early in the second half and it seemed that the match was all one sided.  However another good pass out to Ben Wells allowed our top goal scorer to score his second of the match. This seemed to change the match and the Tigers kept putting the pressure on. The tigers won a number of corners towards the end of the second half when Owen Jackson took a good corner which deflected into their goal. However time ran out and we could not equalise.

final score Newhall 3- Chellaston 4

Man of the match went to Mackenzie Eames who worked really hard and never seemed to be out of the action with lots of great tackles, next game we need 7 players working exactly the same way.

Great match today just a shame we couldn't score a few more, we'll done everyone.
