Tigers were up against early pace setters Burton All Stars at the Shobnall arena for a high noon kick off.

Starting line up: Lewis (GK), Josh (RB), Mia (CB), Callum (LB), Tom (DM), Thomas (AM), Ben (RM), Travis (LM), Brett (CF). Subs : Alex, Louis, Harry, Adam, Dominic.

Very even first five minutes with neither team gaining the advantage, that was until Burton got the early break going 1-0 ahead. This seemed to spur the Tigers into action and some good football followed. Travis got a knock to the groin a few minutes later and was replaced with Alex slotting into the middle and Thomas pulling out wide right. That substitution gave Newhall a cutting edge, Tom keeping it simple in front of the back three with some lovely sensible football again. The defence expertly marshalled by the again outstanding Mia. Flanked by the hard working terrier like Josh and Callum.

Tigers found there way back into the game midway through the half with a cracking shot from Alex that the keeper had no chance of stopping. 1-1 and very much game on.

Despite all the hard work and effort Tigers found themselves a goal down at half time, the tricky, pacy Burton forward managed to work his way to the by line, past Lewis and cut it back in with a neat finish to make it Newhall 1 - 2 Burton at half time.

Second half and Tigers came out strong and determined and every single player that went on the pitch today played a massive part in the game.

Dominic playing in the lone attackers role, Adam on the left, Harry and Louis on the right, the subs rolled on and off with all the players eager to get back on into the action as they could sense a Tigers fight back. And thats exactly what they did. Alex with a stunning shot high to the right of the keeper a thunderous drive into the net to make it Tigers 2 - 2 Burton. The defence today was outstanding with Mia an absolute rock in the middle and when the ball did get through Lewis was off his line fantastically quick to gather up any danger.

In fact it was Tigers if any of the sides did that deserved a victory today, great football and determination, really strong battling, non more so than Brett who gives us a great physical prescence. But it wasn't to be Tigers kept going till the end but just couldn't find the winner, but non the less a fantastic point against a decent Burton team.

Full time Tigers 2 - 2 Burton All Stars.

Todays player of the match choice was a very hard decision for the second week running, but with 2 fantastic goals and some brilliant defending todays award went to both Alex and Mia who both picked up the player of the match awards.

Excellent team performance from everyone today. Against a side sho had scored 15 goals in their previous two games the defence did well and we had good chances at the other end. Probably deserved to edge it in the second half but the main thing is that if you cant win the game.....make sure you dont lose it and the Tigers did that very well today.

The team is growing together and developing well together now and todays result is evidence of that.

Well done to all. Come On You Tigers!!!!!
