The Lions put in there best performance of the season against a very good Albert Village team who play some good football all the time and a team we have never beater (until today!).

Team was GK Corey, D - Daniel, D - Sam, LM - Cash, CM - Billy, RM - Will, S - Calum Subs were Kian and Jack

All players were available and played there part in what was a great game of football played in difficuly conditions.

Both teams started evenly and it was the Lions who edged in front with Billy continuing his great start with the club finishing off a great run with a good finish. Albert Village bounced back and struck with two goals.

However, the Lions showed how much progress they have made as a team as they battled back with all pushing each other on and playing some great football, pressing the Albert Village players all the time.

The team played some great football from back to front with Dan and Sam putting in another solid performance at the back and were also backed up by Jack and Kian when they came on and played in the back two.

The Midfield 3 of Billy, Will and Cash worked really hard and pressed the opposition really well and worked the ball well when we had it playing some very good attractive football.

Calum worked tirelessly up front and was rewarded with the goal to equalise. He and Billy linked up really well during the game and are starting to develop very well and both were rewarded with a second goal for each of them with Billy scoring a great drive from distance and Calum converting a great one and one with great composure with pretty much the last kick of the game,

Mention also to Corey who throughout the game kept the Lions in it with some great saves.

Man of the Match was very difficult to pick as all put in a good day but Billy was the Man who got the nod this week for his consistancy over the past few games as well.

All should be very proud of there performance and if we continue with this type of performance they are in for a very good rest of the season.
