Horses trot to victory as Rusty Rams freeze!

Rams starting line up: Lewis (GK), Call (RB), Mia & Mitchell S (CB), Mitchell (LB), Tom and Rhys (DM), Ksha (LM), Ben (RM), Brad (AMHilton won the toss and kicked off. Rams looked lethargic from the off and were punished for not getting it clear in just the 2nd minute. 0-1 down and not a great start to 2015.

Rams then managed to get back in the game a little more but created little in the chance of clear chances. Ksha was stand out with some great pressure and challenges in the Rams Midfield.

Horses extended their lead on 17 minutes when the defence again failed to clear and Hilton prodded home to go 2-0 up.

Rams got back in the game route one style, a long kick from Lewis by-passed everyone and Harry gathered it up and placed it under the keeper. 1-2.

Half time: Rams 1 - 2 Horses.

Changes at Half time. Adam on the Left, Thomas on the right, Josh and Kian in the middle and Tom reverting to Centre back due to an injury to Smithy.

A scrappy start to the half and Rams started to look tired. Tom in the middle of defence played brilliantly second half and made some great challenges to nullify the Hilton attack and Josh just in front played with calm and picked up numerous balls in the middle.

Rams slipped further behind as the second half pushed on. The ball was played across from the right and Rams couldnt get a clearance and Hilton were there to punish us again.

Ben had a great chance second half when his low drive from the edge of the box was heading in to the bottom corner, only for it to hit Harry on its way and deflect wide.

Kian was withdrawn with an injury and Rams had to change shape numerous times as Harry also needed a rest.

As the cold took a hold and the freezing fog dropped, Rams got another with 5 minutes to go , Harry who had come back on for the last 5 was again played through and put it wide of the keeper to set up a frantic last few minutes. 2-3

Thomas dropped in to centre back and did well winning headers and tackles well. But Rams just couldn't find the equaliser.

Full time: Rams 2 - 3 Horses.

A great turn out from the Rams faithful today on a bitter cold afternoon. Thanks for your support.
