Rams run ragged as Woodville put us in the Black.
Rams line up: Lewis (GK), Call (RB), Josh (LB), Mia and Smithy (CB), Tom (DM), Rhys (DM), Ben (RM), Ksha (LM) Mitchel L(CM) Harry (Att). Subs: Brad, Adam, Thomas, Kian.
Rams started well enough and the early exchanges were equal. However Woodville stepped on the Gas and powered into a commanding lead going 4-0 up after 20 minutes of the half. The pick of the opposition goals came from a clever neat back flick from the leagues leading scorer.
Newhall struggled to cope with the pace, space and skill of the Woodville attack but they stuck at it admirably. Tom being freed up and Brad dropping in on a man marking job.
Rams got their reward when Harry added to his impressive goal tally to get one back.
It was little consolation though as Rangers added another 3 to their first half tally. Harry had a couple of half chances but shot high and wide.
Half time: Rams 1 - 7 Woodville.
Josh had a great game today and defended expertly, jockeying well and holding up the Rangers attack, and then breaking when opportunity rose.
Rams defended far better second half and also offered a bit more bite too. Getting physical when needed and winning some 50-50's.
All players got minutes under their belt too as positional changes continued through the half. Rhys in the middle tackling really well and never afraid to get 'stuck in'. Likewise Ksha, not afradi to get a head in and make the challenges.
Tom picked up a yellow card second half for one foul too many and with studs showing, but his commitment and desire cannot be faulted.
Woodville were limited to just the one goal second half. Lewis out challenged with the Woodville attacker, who got a head on it to nod it past him. Take nothing away from Lewis though, again magnificent in goal, and keeping the score in single figures, with some fine saves and all round goalkeeping.
Full time: Rams 1 - 8 Woodville.
No magic words of wisdom at half time but a far better second half performance. They never let their heads drop and they played to the final whistle despite the game being out of site at half time.
