Newhall nudged out of it.

Startling line up: - Lewis (GK), Callum (RB), Thomas and Mitchell S (CB), Mitchell L (LB), Tom and Rhys (DM), Ben (RM), Kian (LM), Ksha (AM), Harry (Att). Subs: Mia, brad, Adam, Charlie, Josh.

Rams struggled to settle and play football at the start of the game with an unfamiliar back four. That said they defended well and started to get into the game. The first goal of the game came on 17 minutes. Harry was played through and hit a powerful drive that the keeper couldn't hold. He followed in like any good stiker and slammed the rebound home. Rams 1-0.

The game then start to heat up with some firm tackles flying in. But Rams continued to play the better football. A mix up at the back on 22 minutes led to Woodville equalising. Lewis collided with the attacker and the ref pointed to the spot and Woodville roundly converted the kick. 1-1.

Woodville took the lead on tthe half hour mark, a good cross from the right found an opposition player unmarked in the box to nod it home. 1-2.

Half time Rams 1 - 2 Woodville Blue.

The second half continued as the first had ended. Rams playing the better football and Woodville the stronger in the challenge, Rams were without the end product though and Harry was flagged off side a couple of times, though it must have been tight!

Brad was pushed up in to attack alongside Harry to try and get us the goal back. Charlie took a whack in the face from a powerful boot off Tom and could play no further part in the game.

It was whilst Charlie was being treated that Rams conceeded their third. A long ball over the top and Lewis advanced but the player took it round himand slotted it home. 1 -3.

Ramsa had a couple of free kicks from wide right but Brad was narrowly wide with each effort.

Josh had a good game today at LB and defended brillliantly, Thomas too was his usual rock like self too at CB. Ksha is never afraid to go in for a challenge despite the size of the opponent which is great to see. Adam on the left also played with confidence today and made some good passes.

With 5 to go Mitchell S was fouled in the box, Brad took the penalty but it went straight at the keeper, but Harry followed up to make it 2-3.

Full time :- Rams 2- 3 Woodville Blue.

Really proud of the Rams players and parents today. In a very tough game both players and parents did well to keep their respect in a game that could quite easilly got heated. I am pleased and proud to have each and every player in this squad, and the support from the parents/grandparents etc is brilliant to see week in week out. Thank you!
