Woollett's wonders can't halt Hilton.

Line up: Lewis (GK), Mia (LB), Callum (RB), Thomas and Brad (CB), Mitchell Lees and Rhys (CM), Ben (RM), Ksha (LM), Charlie (AM), Harry (Att), Subs: Adam, Kian, Mitchell Smith, Josh.

Hilton started the brightest and it took them only a minute to open the scoring. A defensive mix up with Lewis and Brad gifted Hilton the first goal of the game.

Rams started to settle and played some good football though the gap in the middle of the field left the defence too exposed.

A really good natured game and good banter again with the Hilton managers and parents made the game very enjoyable. L

Lewis was outstanding again today, being quick off his line to anticipate the Hilton attacks and clear well. His shot stopping was also top drawer and kept us in the game on more than one occassion.

Rams main attempt on goal of note came by the way of a free kick. Mia on the edge of the 18 yyard box on the left. She whipped in a fantastic effort that was unfortunately cleared off the line.

Half time: Hilton Orange 1 - 0 Rams.

Adam came on the left and various other subs rolled on and off through the midfield to try and find a formula that would give us a bit more solidity.

Hilton continued to play some good football and broke the Rams back line numerous times. A combination of great goalkeeping and off sides kept the score respectable. Though Hilton did manage to add a further 2 goals in the 2nd half. The 3rd goal was dissappointing as the defence just stood in a line and the Hilton attacker broke free and slotted it wide of Lewis.

Adam had a good game today. Tackling well, running with the ball down the flank, crossing well and also had the Rams best effort of the game but saw his effort from 15 yards go agonisingly just over the bar.

The opposition keeper also had a great game today and was also brave and off his line well to stifle any rare Newhall attacks, mainly led by Harry.

The game threatened to boil over towards the end, but the referee handle the situation brilliantly and had a very good game himself.

Full time: Hilton Orange 3 - 0 Rams.

Rams struggled in the middle of the park today, not winning the 50-50 balls and not challenging or closing down. This led to constant pressure on the defence and ultimately to conceding goals.
