As I was away for this game, Dave Banton has written the match report.

What a game - all of them played brilliantly and it really looks as though they are coming together. Played 4-4-2 with starting line up of Jack; Scott, Bob, Alex, Ollie; Juddy, Wazza, Jacob, Pressy; Mitch, Louis and Brad on the bench. Neither team had the upper hand first half but Jack Edwards had a fantastic first half and made several great saves. HT 0-0. Made a change at half time subbing Pressy for Brad at CR. Good start but a fumble in the goal area led to us backing off and letting them have an open shot which whizzed past Jack. 1-0. They had their heads up then and we had ours slightly down after such a good performance so far, to go a goal down was not reflective of the very even play. They scored again when a long ball to our goal which Jack came out for but with an awkward bounce and little if any communication between GK and CB the ball was fumbled and their attacker went past to put the ball in the net. Made another change and brought Pressy back on for Ollie at RB, then a more surprising change even if I say so myself, I swapped Alex at CB with Wazzer at CH. This changed the game as we had been very week in the middle. Alex immediately started making a nuisance of himself and even more surprising Wazza played an absolute blinder in the CB position. He got his head on everything and cleared the ball going on a little run when needed. Wazza actually came off the pitch saying he would like to play that position! Anyway we won a free kick which Alex stood up to and hit the most perfect ball he could have done. Right foot curler to the right side of the goal and it hit the inside of the upright and went in. 2-1. We continued to press and had got them rattled. We won another free kick just outside the box which Alex took again and this time he put it high and it skimmed the cross bar but unfortunately on the top side and out for a GK. We continued to press and Warren went on a little run down the left side and put a peach of a ball straight across their face of goal which Mitch was cm's away from putting a foot on it having completely beaten the keeper and defence but just couldn't get a toe on it. FT 2-1 but I reckon if we had another 10 mins we would have got another back. Fab performance.

Man of the match - Jack Edwards
