The magnificent seven halt Hatton.

Rams line up: Lewis (GK), Callum (RB), Thomas and Brad (CB), Mia (LB) Tom and Josh (DM), Ben (RM), Rhys (LM), Mitchell Lees (AM), Harry (Att), Subs Adam, Charlie, Kian.

Rams started very brightly and forced the early play and were looking to get through balls to Harry from the off. This paid dividends after 8 minutes when a long powerful throw from Tom set Harry free to race into the box and slot it past the Hatton Keeper. This seemed to wake Hatton and they hit back with an equaliser within two minutes to make it 1-1 after 10 minutes. Almost straight from the kick off Harry was played through again and his power and pace saw him advance into the box and again poke it past the keeper. 2-1 Rams.

Rams dominated the attack first half and it Was Rhys who was next on the scoresheet, his shot was on target and the keeper fumbled it and it found its way into the net. That would prove a good reward for Rhys who had a brilliant game today.

Rams extended their lead further before half time with two further goals from the power house that is Harry. The long throws of Tom catching Hatton on the break with Harry running on to and into the box to steer them wide of the keeper.

Half Time -  Hatton 1 - 5 Rams.

The half time team talk was easy, 'more of the same' but also try and play more football and pass more. This rattled the Rams a little and they looked nervy. Hatton broke with pace wide left and with Lewis advancing the attacker lobbed it over, Brad was covering but his attempted headed clearance found its way into the Rams net. 5 - 2.

Rams were soon back on the attack and Adam picked up up wide left and saw the keeper off his line and lobbed him, agonisingly the ball hit the bar and came back out and Hatton scrambled it clear.

It was Harry again that got the Rams 6th and his 5th of the game on 45 minutes. Hatton again responded well and nicked another goal back two minutes later to make it 6-3.

A master class of goalkeeping from Lewis ensured that Hatton scored no more, his judgement and anticipation were spot on as was his shot stopping.

Various positional changes and substitutions ensued. Brad having a chance to grab a goal in attack but unfortunate not to do so. Rhys sat just in front of the back four and did the dirty work well. Winning everything and battling well.

With a few minutes to go Tom was pushed back on in an advanced midfield role. The ball was played through the middle, a neat little back flick from Tom worked its way past the Hatton defence for Harry to power through and slot home the goal of the game to round up a brilliant all round TEAM performance and give the Rams the win.

Full Time - Hatton 3 - 7 Rams.

The defence is starting to look like a good unit but need to cut out the break away goals. Rhys is improving greatly so early in the season and the goal threat of Harry is a real positive. Well done Rams on a great performance.
