Rams robbed of a deserved victory.
Rams line up: Lewis (GK), Callum (RB), Thomas (CB), Brad (CB), Mia (LB), Josh (CM), Tom (CM), Rhys (RM), Adam (LM), Mitchell Lees (AM), Harry (Att). Subs: Ksha, Charlie, Ben, Kian.
Rams reverted to a traditional 4-4-2 with Brad and Thomas in the heart of the defence to give us some solidity and pace.
Rams started off kicking up hill and started well enough. However, Alrewas hit us on the break after 5 mins and got an early goal. The first half was a scrappy affair with little in the way of chances. Harry with a couple of headers straight at the keeper. A triple substitution half way through the half with Charlie replacing Adam, Ben and Kian replacing Mitchell and Rhys.
The half time team talk was easy... carry on as you are as the effort as brilliant.
Ksha replaced Josh in the middle of the pitch. The second half was all Newhall with wave after wave of attack and brilliant passing and determination all over the pitch. Thomas was again outstanding in defence along with Brad. Ksha had a great game too and passed it well. Callum was solid in defence too and broke well.
Rams got their rewards when Harry pounced to prod home his second of the season and just rewards for their effort. And Rams come sense a win.
They got what was thought to be a deserved second with 5 to go when the Alrewas keeper dropped it and Harry was there following up to prod it home, but the Ref ( who i can not comment on as i would like ) decided to disallow for a reason known only to him. This was harsh on the Rams. The game petered out and the final whistle blew.
Rams 1 - Alrewas 1.
A much improved performance from last week, and the Rams were robbed of a deserved victory! Keep it up Guys N girls.
