Tigers took on newly promoted St Georges at Oversetts Road on a very hot morning .

Kicking up hill first half the opposition keepers huge kicks proved to be the only real threat when the boys allowed the ball to bounce and the forwards are able to put pressure on  Lewis in goal .

That said it was still the Tigers who exerted the large majority of possession with HarryL and Dylan finding lots of space on the flanks . St Georges held out for over 20 minutes but then 3 quick goals from HarryL , Owen and Aaron meant the boys went in at half time 3 goals to the good .

HT 3-0

Second half was a little flat as I got the impression that the boys felt the job was done . Two neat finishes from Connor completed the scoring though Tigers kicking with the slope had almost total territorial advantage and should perhaps have added to their tally .

FT Tigers 5 St Georges 0

Overall a satisfactory performance in Tigers first competitive game for 4 months with good debuts from the 3 new J's Jack , Jordan and Josh . Coping with the slope on the top pitch is something the boys will have to learn how to manage especially when the wind blows .
