What a fantastic performance was witnessed by me and all the spectators this week. Every single player played brilliantly and should be very proud of themselves.

Starting in goal was Corey after his heroics witnessed in training. He managed to pull off a couple of good saves and was unfortunate to consede a goal early on after putting the ball down to start a move to only witness it being put into the goal as was still in open play. After this though he started every move off as we had worked in training. He was passing accuaretly out to the defence and was a key part to all the moves of the team.

Daniel was in Defence this week and as his dad i could not of been prouder of him. He tackled brilliantly and started all the moves of the team going forward. He was committed to winning everything and his distribution i think was appreciated by his team mates further forward.

Logan and Kian started in midfield with Kian being Captain today. Both worked tirelessly putting themselves about. they tackled well, passed well and dribbled well and were instrumental in everything that was happening with the team. Kian was so close to getting his first goal for the team as he saw he shot creap just wide of the post. He will be another that will see his name on the scoresheet very soon if he keeps playing like this. Logan scored a fantastic goal by taking a pass from Daniel and then dribbling the ball through and scoring low into the net. A goal straight from the training ground and was great to witness.

Noah started the game upfront and continues to prove a handful for the opposition with his constant pressing the opposition for the ball and is very comfortable when dribbling with it. He scored a fantastic team goal when he was at the end of a flowing move. Daniel passing out to Logan who in turn played it up the line to Noah. He confidently took the ball on and again finished with a great shot into the bottom corner. Another fantastic goal.

Woodville played some good football against us and had some good shots at the goal and scored from a very well taken corner late in the half.

Second half saw Callum replace Corey in goal and we witnessed a fantastic performance from him between the sticks. A lot of the play in the second half was in the opposition half but when called upon Callum pulled off a few really good saves and should be very impressed with himself with his first stint in goal this season.

Lewis replaced Daniel in midfield and stuck to his position brilliantly this week. Learning from what we had worked in traning he kept his position and put in some great tackles and clearances where required. He again was a key person in setting up moves from the back and passed the ball to the midfield very well.

Jenson replaced Kian in Midfield and his surging runs from midfield were brilliant to see. He is very comfortable on the ball and his strength on the ball sees him dribbling around the opposition with ease at times. How Jenson did not get his name on the scoresheet i do not know. He hit the post on a couple of occasions and the Woodville goalkeeper pulled off some fantastic saves.

Noah moved back in midfield in the second half and added to his first half goal with another finely taken goal from a corner into the bottom corner of the net. Like Jenson he was surging from the midfield and tackling and passing brilliantly. How he did not add to his total of goals in the game is also a mystery as he was putting some fantastic shots in on the Woodville goal and again hitting the woodwork on a couple of occasions and again witnessed a fantastic performance from the Woodville keeper.

Freya played up front in the second half and put in some telling contributions throughout the half. She was getting her tackles in when needed and is getting a little more comfortable on the ball. She continues to try to get forward with the ball and is finding some great spaces which will see her get a goal soon. She was very close to finishing off from a corner when she just missed out at the back post.

Brilliant performance by everyone and it wa great to witness what we were working on in training coming off in the game.

All parents i spoke to after were impressed on how the whole team is performing and i think the improvements in every single player is easy to see.

Keep it up and see you all on Wednesday at training.
