Unfortunate start for the U10 Tigers

Our first game of the season did not end the way we hoped.  After our friendly win earlier in the week we knew we had improved but with two players missing for our first match some of our weaknesses showed.

The team started well with some good midfield play and strong tackles in defence however we ended the half 2-0 down and minus a goalkeeper after Hector was injured whilst saving a strong attack.

During the second half an early Tornadoes goal unfortunately seemed to un motivate the team and our defence tactics did not work.  With Ben Clark having taken over in goal the team seemed to switch off and allowed our opponents too many attacks.

We had very few attempts at scoring however our main chance of the match saw a goal mouth scuffle with 3 shots at goal still ending up being cleared by their goalkeeper.

Player of the match went to Reece Balfour who constantly kept going throughout the match.

More work needed on defence and passing this week at training.

Lets hope for a better result next Saturday.
