TIGERS TAKE A POINT AT THE DEATH TO DENY WINSHILL THE WIN.

A lovely sunny day for football at Shobnall with a high noon kick off against Winshill Green. Tigers had already played Winshill twice this season and had come out on top on both previous encounters. Todays game however was a lot closer fought affair and ended with the points shared.

Tigers started the brighter and forced the early play and pressure. Tigers got the opening goal after about ten minutes with a looping corner from the right hit to the back post where it hit a Winshill defender and flew into the net. 1-0 Tigers with Dom credited the goal from the corner.

It was a scrappy remaining first half all in all, with neither side showing any great skill or flair or clear cut chances of note and Tigers went in at half time 1-0 up.

Tigers were warned at half time that Winshill would come out battling and strong second half and if they got the first goal of the half there heads would be up and they would be in search of a win.

Tigers struggled to create anything like the good football we have come to see this season and the game was very scrappy in the middle, but when it did find its way through, the outstanding Harry in defence made sure with some no nonesense defending. That said it was Winshill who managed to get one back half way through the half, with the Winshill striker breaking the offside trap and slotting it past the advancing Lewis in goal. 1-1

As suspected Winshill grew in confidence and forced the play, they won a corner which was put in perfectly for the Winshill player to have a free header to fire home Winshills second. 1-2.

Louis Buck came on on the right of midfield and put in a good solid performance, brave in the challenge and distributing well.

With the clock winding down and only a minute to go, the ball found its way to Alex on the right, who powered his way in to the box and slam home a last minute Tigers equaliser. 2-2.

Full Time - Tigers 2 - 2 Winshill.

Definatley Tigers worst performance of the season, but they still managed to grind out a draw. Really good to see Harry taking his training performances into a match and as such a well deserved MOTM picked by Laurie Hill.

MOTM - Harry Hudson

Blackout winner - Martin Goodall.
