After the Christmas break, we gathered for the first game of the new year against the current league champions, Rolleston Fc.

I think some players thought it was still the season of goodwill as we made mistakes within our own box to setup two goals to really put ourselves under pressure. 0 - 2

Although we now got a grip of the game, we could not create enough to get a goal back & the scoreline stayed this way till halftime

HT 0 - 2

As we started the second half with renewed belief, we had some good play but just could not get the final touch or run of the ball to convert anything. With that we got caught by a counter attack to concede another 0 - 3

That only spurred us on & we soon found the net with 1 & then 2 through Ryan & Albert. 2 - 3 We were now the better side putting them under intense pressure. The next goal was crucial, but unfortunately it did not fall our way

They capitalised on our open, attacking play & we got caught outnumbered at the back, having had to reshuffle due to injury.

It finished 2 - 6 but there was really only 1 goal difference in this game which really could have gone either way.

A great effort fro Everyone, it shows again how much we have improved

Keep it Up Lads !!!
