After a tough month with 2 games against title contenders Unity Tigers returned to winning ways with a solid performance against Amington who are new to the BJFL this season .

Tigers kicked downhill first half and were quick out of the blocks and dominating the game almost completely .

3 goals up after 25 minutes through Owen (2) and Aaron and the game looked all over . However credit where its due as Amington pulled a goal back from a penalty just before half time .

HT 3-1

Second half was quitean even affair with Amington kicking downhill on the Oversetts slope but they never quite managed to dominate the game as Tigers had done in the first half . It was frustrating that Newhalls forays forward didnt produce he goal that would have effectively killed the game off . But it was not to be and although Amington huffed and puffed around our goal the Tigers defence always looked in control of the situation and saw the game out .

FT Tigers 3 Amington 1

Pleasing win for the lads as they closed the game out when they came under pressure in the second half - he lads didnt allow Amington the 2nd goal that would have really got their tail up ;and made for a tricky last period .

Not always expansive but the lads are learning how to win games when in the box seat .
