Well if anyone had stumbled across Eureka Park on sunday morning, they might have thought we had moved the Newhall Tournament as it was awash with Newhall teams.

Both the U15S & U16s had interclub derbies accompanied by the background music from the Rememberance Sunday parade.

On that note credit to everyone as the 2 minute silence before the games was impeccably observed by all

So onto kick off & the Lions settled into the game very quickly.

Our link up play was excellant & it was not long before we were on the scoresheet, some great work by Callum down the right, then playing the ball across the 6yd box for Thomas to slot home. 1 - 0

The Lions kept the pressure on & soon made it 2 - 0, Jamie making space on the edge of the box & driving into the bottom corner

With numerous squandered chances the half finished at 2 - 0

The second half continued much in the same vein with some good controlled football & intricate passing, it was only going to be a matter of time before we added more.

Ryan was finally rewarded for his efforts with two goals but it could have easily been more. 4 - 0

The Panthers were then awarded a penalty which unfortunateky squirmed under Chris when it looked like it been saved 4 - 1

Then the Panthers were reduced to 10 men through an act of frustration

FT 4 - 1

A great display overall, controlled all the way through showing great character from all the players

It was good to see former Lions players, Lewis J , Lewis W & Nathan still turning out & giving their all for Newhall

Well Done to Everyone !!
