Another game where the team showed good progress.

Team was Corey in Goal, Cameron and Freya in Defence, Lewis, Jenson & Cory in Midfield and then Callum up front.

Corey playing in his second game in goal is showing great promise. He is starting to use all his area and has no fear if the opposition are coming towards him and he will tackle them, going down using his legs and arms. He kept the TS team out with some really good saves and could do nothing with the ones which went passed him. He pulled off one fantastic save when he went at full stretch to push a great effort wide of the post. I would have to give him my Man of the Match for this week as he did everything which was asked of him.

In front of him Cameron played really well and slotted in perfectly in defence and was convering the area well and stopping most things coming towards him. Freya also played well and put in some vital tackles and pushing the ball further forward to our midfield trio.

The three in midfield worked well together and pressed the TS team well when they had the ball. Jenson dribbled well with the ball and brought his team mates in on a few occasions which was good to see and showed the work from training was being put into the match. Lewis put a lot of energy into his game and his confidence is growing now he is seeing more of the ball. It is much better to see him now putting a foot on the ball when he can and either passing or dribbling away. He was unlucky not to score from a free kick but his efforts were rewarded when he dispatched a penalty kick which he struck extremely hard and I am sure most keepers would have struggled to keep out. Just need to calm him down in some circumstances now and he will develop further. CJ put some good work in on the right of midfield and he is the one person in the team who really is looking every time to bring his team mate into play as he puts his foot on the ball and looks up. He put some good tackles in and worked hard in the key area of the pitch.

Callum worked hard up front and chased down balls in the final third. He pressed the keeper and defence of TS Sports when he could and is trying to do as much with the ball as he can. I don't think it will be long before he gets his reward of that first goal of the season.

Well done to you all and keep it up and your efforts in the games are really starting to show through.
