The first game back for the newly created team and after a slow start all the players performed really well and will be good to see this team develop over the season with more games.

Team cosisted of Callum, Lewis, Kian, Freya, Cameron, Corey & Daniel (borrowed from the Lions for the game!).

Coming up against a good Belvedere team was not really the start we would have wanted for our new team as I know they have played together for a couple of seasons now and have a couple of really good players and credit should be given to the coaches there as they are developing really well and passed the ball around really well during the game and will be something I am looking to have our team striving to as the season progresses and they play more games together.

Callum playing in goal first half and performed well pulling off a couple of good saves and could not have really done anything about the goals scored against him. He came out for the second hald and played in an attacking role and performed very well in the final half of the pitch and was very unlucky not to get his name on the scoresheet as his efforted came back off the post mid way through the second half.

Kian battled well in defence and was made to work very hard in a difficult first half for our team. As the game progressed his confidence continued to grow and was putting some great challenges and clearances during a much better second half effort.

Lewis started in defence and again coped quite well with the initial first half we encountered and he again growed into the game putting good challenges in and when he moved a little further forward in the game his confidence grew and he put in some very fine runs which is a great confidence builder for him as it is something which he has not done in previous seasons.

Cameron making his first appearance for the team slotted in very well in midfield and was full of energy, getting up and down the pitch really well. He again grew into the game as the confidence of him and the team grew and he put in some good runs and tackles.

Corey started in midfield and although started up against a very good Belvedere midfield he continued to try and put his tackles in and impose himself on the game. However, we changed at half time and he went in goal and can be very proud of how he performed. He pulled off a fantastic penalty save and was really unfortunate to miss the goals which were conceded. I think he slotted in really well in goal and will be somethig to monitor over the coming weeks.

Freya battled really well through the games. Starting in midfeld and in the second hald moving into defence. She put in some crucial tackles and moved the ball forward where possible. Again, i think over the coming weeks with more games being played we will really see Freya coming more into games and having a good impact on how things are going.

Daniel put in a good team job from midfield in a role he has not played much before due to him normally playing in defence. His confidence as the game progressed was great to see and he made three or four really good dribbling skills down the left wing which i hope will show with confidence what he can do.

All in all a good performance and if we take the second hald team effort which saw us all doing a little more team work then we will progress really well this season. All came off the pitch still smiling and took everything said onboard which is all i want from you this season with it being the first set of games played.

Well done to all the players and look forward to the next game.
